Eigenvalues and Eigenfunctions of Woods Saxon Potential in PT Symmetric Quantum Mechanics
Using the Nikiforov Uvarov method, we obtained the eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of the Woods Saxon potential with the negative energy levels based on the mathematical approach. According to the Symmetric quantum mechanics, we exactly solved the time− independent Shcrödinger equation for the same potential. Results are obtained for the sstates. − PT − PACS: 03.65.-w; 03.65.Db; 02.30.Gp; 03.65.Ge
متن کاملScattering in PT -Symmetric Quantum Mechanics
A general formalism is worked out for the description of one-dimensional scattering in non-hermitian quantum mechanics and constraints on transmission and reflection coefficients are derived in the cases of P, T or PT invariance of the Hamiltonian. Applications to some solvable PT -symmetric potentials are shown in detail. Our main original results concern the association of reflectionless pote...
متن کاملPT −symmetric regularizations in supersymmetric quantum mechanics
Within the supersymmetric quantum mechanics the necessary regularization of the poles of the superpotentials on the real line of coordinates x may be most easily mediated by a small constant shift of this axis into complex plane. Detailed attention is paid here to the resulting recipe which works, in effect, with non-Hermitian (a. k. a. PT −symmetric or pseudo-Hermitian) Hamiltonians. Besides a...
متن کاملExperiments in PT −symmetric quantum mechanics
Extended quantum mechanics using non-Hermitian (pseudo-Hermitian) Hamiltonians H = H is briefly reviewed. A few related mathematical experiments concerning supersymmetric regularizations, solvable simulations and large-N expansion techniques are summarized. We suggest that they could initiate a deeper study of non-localized structures (quasi-particles) and/or of their unstable and many-particle...
متن کاملA Critique of PT -Symmetric Quantum Mechanics
We study the physical content of the PT -symmetric complex extension of quantum mechanics as proposed in Bender et al, Phys. Rev. Lett. 80, 5243 (1998) and 89, 270401 (2002), and show that as a fundamental probabilistic physical theory it is neither an alternative to nor an extension of ordinary quantum mechanics. We demonstrate that the definition of a physical observable given in the above pa...
